Financial Assistance Information

Community Education will offer a limited number of scholarships each week to the Summer Day Program (SDP).  Below are the details regarding the scholarship application process and eligiblity requirements.

How Scholarships Are Awarded

  • Families MUST complete the online application form to be considered. The form will open at 7 PM on Tuesday, February 3.
  • Submitting the form does not guarantee a scholarship or placement in a specific week.
  • Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Due to high demand, in 2026 eligible families will receive a scholarship for one week at the SDP.
  • If a requested week is full, we may offer placement in an alternate week, if space allows.
  • Requests to change weeks after placement are subject to availability and may not be possible due to limited space.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Families must qualify for free and reduced price meals (as certified by the A-B Nutrition Services Department) AND give permission in the PowerSchool parent portal for this information to be shared with Community Ed.
  • All adult members of the household must submit proof of employment or school attendance during the program hours.

Although school meals are free for all students, families who qualify for free & reduced price meals may receive additional services. Read more and submit the application online here.

Families will be notified the week of February 23 regarding their application status.
