How to Schedule a Road Test

You have completed Driver Education - What are the next steps?

Note: Updated in June 2020 - Reflects Changes in place during COVID.

After you have completed your required driving lessons and classroom instructions, and your parent or guardian has attended the required Parent/Guardian meeting, your Driver Education course is complete.

The next step is to schedule your Road Test. You first need to bring the following items to the Acton-Boxborough Community Education/Driver Ed office located in the Administration Building at 15 Charter Road:

Approximately 7-10 business days after A-B Community Ed submits your paperwork to the RMV, students can go online to mass.gov/rmv and schedule a Road Test.

A fully completed Class D or M Road Test application form is required. You will not be able to take your Road Test without this form, filled out and signed by a parent. Leave the sponsor section blank.

If you choose this option, you will schedule the test at mass.gov/rmv approximately 7-10 business days after your paperwork has been submitted. The process may take 20 minutes or more; please be patient. A helpful hint: We recommend that students pre-pay for their licenses and Road Tests while on-line. This will save time waiting at the RMV on the day of the Road Test. You may also want to pre-pay on the day you get your Learner's Permit.
