The program is open only to students who will enter Grades 1-6 in August 2025 and who are enrolled in the A-B school district.

The Summer Day Program runs in weekly sessions with a different theme featured each week. The program is held at the RJ Grey Junior High and uses various outside locations throughout the main school campus. Daily activities include camp meetings, swimming in the A-B High School Pool, Music & Drama, Cooperative Games, Arts & Crafts, and a variety of special programs & offerings throughout the summer.


Below are the program dates and themes. The program hours are 8:45am-3:45 pm with the option to enroll in extended morning hours and/or afternoon hours for an additional fee. There is a one-time, non-refundable per child registration fee of $50.

Spots are limited and registration is on first-come, first-served basis. Registration is weekly only for both weekly and extended hours sessions; there is not a daily rate. Payment is required at the time of registration; payment plans can be arranged by contacting us in advance at [email protected]


The Summer Day Program will offer a limited number of scholarships to families who qualify; scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. 

There are two requirements to apply for a scholarship:
1. Complete the financial assistance application form here and email it to us at [email protected] along with the supporting documentation.  Hard copies are available for pick up at the Community Education office and the form can be returned to the office.
2. Complete an online form to request a scholarship. The form will open here at 7pm on Monday, March 3The form must be completed in order for families to be considered. Submission of the application does not guarantee that a scholarship will be awarded or which sessions a child may attend.

Scholarships are also available for qualifying Acton or Boxborough residents through the Doli Atamian Campership Program; families should apply directly via the link.
